The General Directorate of Customs – Tripoli Police Department announced that a patrol from the Abode Division was able to seize a large quantity of hunting rifle scopes in the Akkar region, numbering 1,100 scopes, in one of the most prominent seizure operations in terms of the size and nature of the seizures.
According to customs, the seized items were seized and transferred to the Al-Aboudi Customs Center, while their owner was referred to the center, where investigations began under the supervision of the competent judiciary to take the necessary legal measures.
The operation is of particular importance in view of the large number of seized binoculars and their nature, which requires verifying their source, purpose of use, and the path they took before being seized.
The operation comes within the framework of customs efforts to combat smuggling and seize infringing goods, which contributes to protecting the rights of the public treasury and enhancing control over crossings and border areas.
