Real Madrid imposed a huge fine of 100,000 euros on its player Raul Asensio after driving under the influence of alcohol, according to what was reported by the Spanish website “Defense Central” on Friday.

Asensio suffered from several problems last summer after he was accused of photographing and circulating a sexual clip of a minor before he was acquitted, and then he was caught driving a car under the influence of alcohol, which prompted Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho to criticize him publicly and remind him that playing for Real Madrid means discipline on and off the field.

The website interested in Real Madrid news said on Friday: The Real Madrid administration imposed a large fine of 100,000 euros, and this figure reflects the great anger of the club towards the actions of the defending player.

Jose Mourinho wanted to sign an additional defender instead of Asensio, but the latter remained in the team, although his return to the main roster after recovering from injury seems unlikely, given the brilliance of De Huysne and Ibrahima Konate in the central defence.
