The Amal Movement issued a statement in which it responded to what was published by “Nidaa al-Watan” newspaper regarding the existence of currents and trends within the movement and linking them to leadership names, considering that what was reported “is not journalistic news, but rather exposed political wishes that the newspaper is working to build on.”
The movement stressed that its positions and relations with various forces and parties are determined by its leadership institutions, “not the imagination of the newspaper’s editors, nor its suspicious sources with open goals.”
The statement stressed that naming one of the movement’s leaders, by referring to him with alphabetical letters in this context, is “a baseless allegation and a cheap attempt to invent divisions that only exist in the imagination of the writer and his sources.”
The Amal Movement confirmed that the intended leader “is the most keen and closest to expressing the central position of the movement and its leader on various issues.”
