A counterfeiting operator falls into the grip of the "Reggie"... adulterated honey and smuggled cigarettes

The anti-smuggling agency in the Lebanese Tobacco and Tobacco Control Department (Regie) seized quantities of smuggled cigarettes, in addition to a workshop for counterfeiting honey, during raids carried out in the towns of Tawfiqiyya and Labweh in the Bekaa.

The Regie announced, in a statement, that its units confiscated the counterfeit molasses found inside the workshop, along with publications bearing the names of trademarks that were used to package the counterfeit tobacco.

The administration explained that the raids are part of its ongoing efforts to combat smuggled and counterfeit tobacco products, as part of campaigns aimed at reducing the spread of these products and prosecuting violators.

She confirmed that arrest reports had been registered against the violators, with the competent judiciary looking into the file.

The Regie continues to carry out raids in various Lebanese regions to combat the smuggling, manufacturing and promotion of counterfeit tobacco products, and to seize workshops and violating products.
