Its length is about 230 feet.. A “secret” military mission for a SpaceX rocket!

SpaceX will launch a Falcon 9 rocket from California, in a military mission surrounded by secrecy.

Only limited information is available about the details of the mission, named USSF-366, including the nature of the payload inside the two-stage rocket.

According to a number of media outlets specializing in spaceflight news, the classified mission may include deploying a group of military satellites in low Earth orbit.

SpaceX announced late this week that it would be the party responsible for launching the US Space Force mission. Despite the secrecy surrounding the payload, SpaceX plans to broadcast the launch process live, with the broadcast starting about 10 minutes before takeoff.

The Falcon 9 rocket is about 230 feet long, and will transport the mysterious payload into space, before the propellant stage attempts to land on SpaceX’s drone ship in the Pacific Ocean, which is called “Of Course I Still Love You.”

The controlled landing allows SpaceX to recover the propeller stage and reuse it for future missions.
