On the occasion of the International Day of the right to access information, the National Anti -Corruption Commission congratulated all those involved in this day, stressing the obligation to adhere to the provisions of the law that devotes this right to all persons, in order to achieve the principle of transparency as a prerequisite for combating corruption and its prevention.
The authority announced the launch of the English version of its website, after the Arabic version was launched in 2023, confirming that this step aims to enhance transparency and provide information to a broader audience, including researchers, international partners and civil society organizations, to facilitate the review of the work of the authority related to declaration of disclosure and interests, the right to access information, and receive complaints. Technical support, the European Union and the Denmark government on financial support, as well as the supervisors and volunteers who contributed to the completion of the project. The authority pointed out that its first annual report on the extent of commitment to the application of the right to access information included more than 1400 administrations, and is now available in Arabic and English versions on the official website. She added that she will develop a bilateral interactive follow -up painting to enable the public to follow up on the adherence in an immediate way through advanced interactive indicators and fees.
