The head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Representative Timur Jumblatt, sponsored the opening of new departments to increase the capacity of the elderly Care Center at the Health Corporation of the Druze community in Ain and Zain, “within the framework of the continuous steps taken by the institution and reflects its deep commitment to the elderly, and to provide pastoral, health and social services integrated to them.”

The ceremony started with the national anthem and in the opening speech of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, former Minister Al -Halabi, Hello, stressing the historical role of the health institution of the Druze community since its foundation, stressing that it “formed a leading model in providing comprehensive medical and social care for the elderly.”
Also, Al -Halabi pointed out that “the medical center for the elderly in Ain and Zain is not just a health facility, but a warm house that embraces the elderly and provides them with medical, psychological and social care.”
Finally, the owner of the care, MP Jumblatt, spoke, in his speech on the work of the health establishment in Ain and Zain, considering that “it is the best evidence of the importance of humanitarian, social and health work.”
He added: “All that the Foundation does gives an example of the importance of providing medical and health services to people and providing care for the elderly.”
He said: “It is true that in the Korona pandemic stage, the Foundation, as the majority of institutions in the country, was forced to stop receiving the elderly, to protect them first, and secondly to maintain the safety of everyone. But today, and at the request of citizens, the reopening of the doors of care for the elderly comes in response to the social need.”

He continued: “The most important thing is that today there is an increase in the absorptive capabilities and new qualitative programs.” MP Jumblatt thanked the Board of Trustees and the administration of Ain and Zain Hospital, and thanks Dr. Zahir Al -Emad, “who despite all the campaigns and pressures, the Foundation continued to serve the people and provide care for them.”
At the end of his speech, Jumblatt said: “My message today is to preserve this institution and its role, and to help provide more development.”
And to the medical and administrative staff and all the workers, Jumblatt said: “With you, we are committed to keep this edifice healthy, social, and advanced academic, and a place for care and human being.”
