On his last day in New York, President Aoun met at his residence at the Marriott Hotel, the commander of the Central Region in the American army, Prince Brad Cooper, and circulated with him in the affairs of the region in light of recent developments. It was an affirmation of “the necessity of supporting the Lebanese army to carry out its tasks in extending the state’s authority over all Lebanese territory to the internationally recognized borders.” The research also touched on the continuous Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory and the work of the Mechaanism Committee with the aim of stopping hostilities.
