After the session, Al -Bustani said: “Our discussion is centered today with the Minister of Economy about preparing for the meeting of the General Authority to be held soon, and I hope that the proposal of the Consumer Protection Law on the General Assembly. And the Minister of Economy, who presented notes and some colleagues, and took all opinions in mind, there is an understanding between the committee and the minister. ”Al -Bustani hopes that the Ministry of Economy monitors will have the ability to monitor markets and apply the law.
As for the rug, he said: “The understanding was clear with the committee. There is a reform package that must be approved, the law of consumer protection, and the competition law will make a big difference in the structure of the Lebanese economy, because the consumer protection law also notes the preservation of food safety and punish those who underestimate it, for example, but not limited to, this law when applying it fights the fraud and neglect that is currently happening in the subject of dance and brutality, which leads to Cases of poisoning among citizens.
