
The United Nations forces operating in southern Lebanon, “UNIFIL”, announced that the Italian and Ghanniyah units of the Western sector organized a day of free medical visits to patients in southern Lebanon, to support the health sector affected by the recent conflict.
The statement indicated that the medical team provided more than 100 medical examination, and the medications were distributed to the elderly who have difficulty in reaching hospitals. The basic materials for the most needy families were also donated and handed over to the Crisis Unit to be distributed later. The event was attended by the commander of the western sector, General Kulusi, mayor of Rumish Hanna, the agent, director of the Michelin Al -Hajj Center, Father Naguib Al -client, Al -Mukhaatir, school principals, the Red Cross, and a number of the townspeople. The Lebanese Armed Forces also participated in the strategic partner of UNIFIL. General Kulusi thanked the people of Rumish for the hospitality, praising the Italian medical staff and the Ghani, stressing that the support of the population is one of the tasks of UNIFIL stipulated in Resolution 1701, as well as the close cooperation with the Lebanese army to restore stability and normal life in southern Lebanon.
