
The step comes as part of the company’s expansion into integrating generative artificial intelligence tools into its daily applications.
The new feature is based on the “Gemini Omni” model, as it can adjust lighting, replace backgrounds, and add various artistic effects, such as watercolors, sketches, and oil paintings, with just a few clicks.
Google explained that “Video Remix” is available within the “Create” tab in the “Google Photos” application, where the user can choose one of his stored video clips and then apply ready-made templates or request custom modifications to quickly create a new version of the video.
The company confirmed that the goal of the feature is to enable users to produce clips that can be easily shared, without the need to use professional video editing software or spend a long time on editing processes.
The feature began to be gradually rolled out to subscribers of the “Google AI Plus,” “Google AI Pro,” and “Google AI Ultra” packages in a number of countries, including the United States, India, Japan, Brazil, Turkey, and South Korea, with it expanding to additional markets in later stages.
