Representative and former minister Jamil Al-Sayyid commented on the phone call that took place between the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, welcoming the developments related to the American-Iranian understanding.
Al-Sayed wrote on the “X” platform: “The latest news… President Joseph Aoun received a call this evening from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which they discussed current regional developments and files of common interest, and Aoun welcomed the understanding reached between America and Iran.”
He added: “It is true who said: Safety lies in delay, and regret in haste.”
Al-Sayed’s position comes after the announcement of the understanding between the United States and Iran, and the subsequent Lebanese contacts and positions that addressed the repercussions of the agreement on the situation in Lebanon and the region.
