Israeli media reported that the Israeli army’s air defense systems intercepted two drones launched from southern Lebanon towards Israel, in a new development that reflects the escalation of tension on the northern front.
According to Israeli reports, the two drones were spotted while flying in the border airspace, before air defense systems were able to intercept them and shoot them down over southern Lebanon.
Israeli media reported that the two drones were launched by Hezbollah, noting that the interceptions were recorded in the airspace of the city of Nahariya, northern Israel.
According to preliminary information, the two air targets were discovered in the area opposite the northern border, before the Israeli air defenses dealt with them.
This development comes in light of the escalation of field tension on the Lebanese-Israeli border, after the Israeli army announced earlier that it had thwarted an infiltration attempt by an armed man from Lebanon into Israeli territory in the Ramim area, coinciding with the continuation of Israeli military operations inside southern Lebanon.
This incident reflects the continuation of open confrontation on the northern front, where air and ground operations intersect with a high level of security and military alert on both sides of the border.
