According to what the Brazilian newspaper “Bolavip” reported, NEOM’s management reopened the negotiation file with Bolgar, after the player attracted attention with his distinguished levels with Flamengo during recent seasons.
According to what journalist Guillerme Pinheiro reported on the “Flazuero” channel on the YouTube platform, the Chilean midfielder is one of the main goals of the Saudi club during the upcoming transfer period, amid increasing possibilities for his departure from Flamengo this summer.
The report added that the Brazilian club Santos is also monitoring the player’s situation, taking advantage of the decrease in the value of the release clause in his contract to only $4 million, which may facilitate his transfer to any club that wants to sign him.
Despite increasing news about his future, Polgar’s position has not been decided yet, but Flamengo management has already begun studying the options available to compensate him in the event of his departure.
Reports indicated that the Brazilian club is putting a number of names on its table to strengthen the midfield, including Diosa and Richard Rios, without entering into official negotiations with either of them yet.
Polgar, 32 years old, joined Flamengo in July 2022 from Italian Fiorentina, and since then he has participated in 156 matches in various competitions, during which he scored 5 goals and provided 9 assists.
