It is believed that the purchase was made from the “CHS” commercial company at a price of $275.2 per ton, including the cost and shipping, with shipping scheduled to take place in the second half of next August.
The reports reflect dealer evaluations, and new estimates of prices and volumes are likely to be issued later, according to Reuters.
Traders reported that other commercial companies participated in today’s tender, as Cargill offered $279.9 per ton, Ameropa offered $277.87 per ton, Olam Company offered $276.5 per ton, and Dreyfus Company offered $280 per ton, all including cost and shipping.
Traders expected a new tender to be launched in the coming days targeting the purchase of about 120,000 tons of wheat, to be closed on June 15. The new tender is expected to request shipping during September and October 2026.
