During the annual WWDC 2026 developer conference, Apple launched the new operating system for iPad devices, iPadOS 27, loaded with a huge package of improvements that focus primarily on artificial intelligence capabilities, along with a qualitative leap in performance, productivity, interface design, and parental control features.
The personal assistant “Siri” is the most prominent upgrade in the new system, as its autonomous capabilities have been integrated into the “Spotlight” search feature to automatically highlight smart commands.
Apple also launched a completely independent application for “Siri” that allows users to engage in ongoing conversations and return to their previous history, in an interactive experience similar to leading artificial intelligence applications such as ChatGPT and Gemini.
