Australian Graham Arnold, coach of the Iraq national team, sent a message to the Iraqi fans to support the “Mesopotamian Lions” in the last friendly match against Venezuela as part of the final preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

Arnold said in a video clip posted by the Iraqi Football Association on its account on the “X” platform: “I salute all Iraqi fans. We are here in Chicago and feel very excited, and we continue our preparations for the Venezuela match.”

The Australian coach added: “To all the Iraqi fans in America who gave us tremendous support at Monterrey Stadium in Mexico during the Bolivia match that witnessed our historic qualification to the World Cup, we need your support again.”

He continued: “We look forward to seeing you in the Venezuela match. All the best to player No. 12. Continue to support us.” (Russia Today)
