In light of the wave of warnings circulating on social media, UNIFIL forces came out to put an end to the information that talked about preventing the movement of cars and vehicles on the Qana-Al-Qasimiya junction road, under penalty of being targeted.
UNIFIL confirmed, in a statement, that it followed the information circulating regarding the issuance of a warning prohibiting the movement of any vehicle or vehicle, including military vehicles and ambulances, on the road extending from the Qana Junction to Al-Qasimiya.
The international forces stressed that they “did not receive any information of this kind from any party,” denying what was circulated in this context.
UNIFIL’s position comes at a time when the southern regions are witnessing escalating field tension, amid an intense spread of warnings and rumors across social media platforms, which increases the state of anxiety among the people, especially in light of the continued Israeli raids and military movements in a number of southern regions.
