Press reports revealed new developments regarding the future of Luis Mia, the Spanish midfielder from Getafe, as he approaches moving to the Saudi Al-Nassr ranks during the current summer transfer period.

Several reports had indicated during the past weeks that Al-Nasr was close to reaching a final agreement to contract with Mia, as part of the club’s plan to strengthen its ranks in preparation for the new season.

According to what the Spanish newspaper “AS” reported, the deal for Luis Mia’s transfer to Al-Nasr is expected to be finalized during this week, so that the player will begin a new professional experience outside the Spanish stadiums for the first time in his career.

The newspaper explained that the current week will be decisive for the Getafe club, as the administration is waiting to resolve several important issues, most notably the position of coach Jose Bordalas on renewing his contract, in addition to the possibility of Mauro Arambari moving to River Plate, and Luis Mia to the “Al-Alamy” ranks.
Mia is considered one of the main pillars in the ranks of Getafe during the past four years, after playing a pivotal role in the midfield, which makes his possible departure a major technical loss for the Spanish club.

The 31-year-old Spanish midfielder joined Getafe in July 2022 from Granada, and since then he has participated in 134 matches in various competitions, during which he scored 3 goals and provided 20 assists.

Despite reports confirming that he is close to wearing the Al-Nasr shirt, the player is still receiving interest from a number of European clubs, most notably Italian Como, Spanish Villarreal, and Greek Olympiacos, which may increase the competition to include him in the coming days.

Al-Nasr is seeking to strengthen its squad with strong deals during the summer transfer market, after it presented a distinguished season during which it won the Saudi Professional League title, and it aspires to continue strengthening its ranks to compete in all tournaments next season.
