The General Directorate of Lebanese Civil Defense announced the implementation of large-scale evacuation operations in a number of towns in southern Lebanon, in light of the continuing Israeli threats and the security escalation taking place in the region.

The Civil Defense Department of Information and Public Relations explained, in a statement, that its teams carried out evacuations that included the towns of Al-Duwair, Jibshit, Harouf, Kfarsir, Al-Qasiba, Al-Kfour, Mifdoun, Qaqaiyat Al-Jisr, Nabatieh, Toul and Aba, where 133 people of different nationalities were evacuated.

The statement indicated that the transfer operations were carried out by ambulances and civil defense vehicles, towards safer areas, as part of the emergency measures taken to protect civilians from the repercussions of the escalation.

This step comes in conjunction with the continuing field tension in southern Lebanon, amid the escalation of Israeli raids and repeated warnings to evacuate a number of southern towns, which prompts official and relief agencies to raise the level of preparedness and alert to keep pace with the displacement movement and secure evacuation and ambulance operations.
