In a statement, the Traffic Experts Syndicate asked all experts to “immediately report any incident in which it is found that there is a person impersonating a sworn traffic expert in the courts, or carrying out expert work in violation of legal principles.”
Also, the union requested that it be provided with all available details, including the location of the accident, its date, the party that commissioned it, the types of vehicles involved, and any additional details that would help the union take immediate action and take appropriate measures.
It asked the experts to keep their union cards and show them to citizens when investigating accidents, to confirm their legal qualifications as sworn traffic experts before the courts.
The union will communicate with various media outlets to educate citizens and request verification of the expert’s identity by presenting his union card when he arrives at the scene of the accident, in order to preserve the rights of citizens and prevent any impersonation.
