On Monday morning, southern Lebanon witnessed a remarkable Israeli escalation, with Israeli drones carrying out a series of simultaneous raids targeting cars and motorcycles in the Nabatieh area, which led to the death of 3 citizens, according to what the National News Agency reported.
Al-Wataniya reported that, starting at six in the morning, the Israeli drones carried out three successive raids. The first targeted a car on the Kafr Rumman-Jarmak Highway, while the second raid targeted a car on the Jarmak-Khardali Road. The third raid targeted a motorcycle on the Kafr Rumman-Jarmak Highway near the “Youzersif” Hotel.

According to field information, the first raid on the Kafr Rumman-Jarmak road resulted in the death of two people, while the second raid in the Al-Khardali area led to the death of a third citizen, amid widespread alert by ambulance and civil defense teams in the area.
This escalation comes in light of the continuation of open confrontations on the southern front, with Israel intensifying its policy of assassinations and direct targeting by drones, especially in the areas of Nabatieh and the south.
In parallel with the military escalation, the municipality of Sarafand and the town’s Endowments Committee called on the people and neighbors to “be completely strict and prevent all forms of gatherings in public places and cafes,” warning against “the enemy’s treachery and random behavior,” in order to preserve the safety of civilians.
These calls reflect the growing fears in southern villages about the expansion of Israeli targeting, especially with the repeated raids on public roads and populated areas in recent days.
For months, southern Lebanon has witnessed a continuous escalation between Hezbollah and the Israeli army, amid warnings of the situation sliding into a broader confrontation, coinciding with the faltering of international efforts aimed at establishing the calm and implementing Resolution 1701.
