The Israeli escalation has returned to raise the level of tension in southern Lebanon, with a series of raids, artillery shelling, and bombings that affected several towns and regions, in a scene that reflects the fragility of the “cessation of hostilities” and the continued field combustion on the southern front, amid escalating Israeli warnings and open military messages towards Lebanon.
In the latest developments, the “Lebanon Debate” correspondent reported that artillery shelling targeted the Al-Amriya area near a Lebanese army checkpoint, while Israeli aircraft launched a raid on the vicinity of Tibnin Governmental Hospital, in conjunction with two raids targeting the towns of Khirbet Salam and Kafra.
An Israeli bombing was also recorded between the towns of Halta and Kafr Shuba in the Arqoub area, amid intense Israeli aircraft flying over a number of villages in the south.
This escalation comes with an increase in the pace of military operations during the past hours, after Israel intensified its air strikes and artillery shelling on several southern areas, in conjunction with the continuation of Israeli warnings and threats to continue military operations inside Lebanese territory.
