The French star participated in Al Hilal’s 2-1 victory over Al Khulud, in the final match that was held on Friday evening.
Al-Hilal had announced the inclusion of Benzema on February 2, after terminating his contract with Al-Ittihad, so the player needed only 95 days to achieve his first title with his new team’s shirt.
With this coronation, Benzema retained the King’s Cup title that he won in the last edition with Al-Ittihad, when he defeated Al-Qadisiyah in the final.
The French striker also succeeded in turning the page on his experience with Al-Ittihad, after he needed a full year there before achieving his first title with the “Dean” shirt.
Al-Hilal raised its tally to 10 titles in the King’s Cup, moving away from Al-Ahly, its closest rival, by two titles.
