The Dahr El Sawan municipality sent a letter of thanks and appreciation to the representative of the Matn district and the town’s son, Ibrahim Kanaan, in appreciation of a series of development initiatives he implemented in the region at his own expense, which included paving works for internal roads and courtyards of the Bahnes Hospital.
The municipality explained, in a statement published on its official page on behalf of its president, members, and the townspeople, that the support also included the completion and rehabilitation of a support wall along the road leading to the water tanks that supply Dahr El Sawan and most of the neighboring villages, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
The municipality confirmed that these works contributed to addressing the damage and material losses resulting from the collapse of the wall, as well as enhancing traffic safety conditions and protecting the vital facility responsible for securing drinking water for the town and its surrounding areas.
The Dahr El Sawan Municipality considered that these development steps embody Representative Kanaan’s keenness to stand by the people of his town and contribute to developing the infrastructure and advancing the path of development in the Matn region.
These works are doubly important in light of the current circumstances and the great challenges facing Lebanese municipalities in the sectors of road maintenance, infrastructure rehabilitation, and providing basic services to citizens.
