The US Embassy in Beirut announced that it welcomed the efforts led by US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, aimed at resuming direct flights between Lebanon and the United States, describing it as “a long-awaited Lebanese dream.”
The embassy explained, in an official statement, that this step would enhance mutual trust between the two countries and embody faith in Lebanon’s future, noting that the inauguration of the direct air route would contribute to reuniting families and strengthening ties with the Lebanese-American community.
She added that the upcoming trips will make it easier for American companies to explore the investment opportunities available in the Lebanese market, stressing her aspiration to work closely with the Lebanese partners to complete the necessary procedures and transform this initiative into a tangible reality that supports Lebanon’s prosperity path and serves the interests of the two peoples.
