Beirut warns of the danger of escalation and condemns the attack on Riyadh Airport as a blatant violation of international laws

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the attack that targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday, which, according to the ministry’s statement, resulted in the killing of 12 civilians and the injury of more than 300 others.

The Ministry affirmed that targeting vital installations and civilians represents a “flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the rules of international humanitarian law,” stressing its categorical rejection of any infringement on the sovereignty, security and safety of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Lebanese Foreign Ministry renewed its expression of full solidarity with the Kingdom and its people, stressing that Lebanon stands by Saudi Arabia in the face of any attack that affects its security and the safety of its citizens and residents of its lands.
