Former Boca Juniors star Carlos Tevez revealed an expected surprise, after he confirmed that he had obtained the approval of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to participate together in one team during his retirement match.

The Argentine and Portuguese stars are scheduled to participate in Tevez’s farewell match, scheduled for December 2026 at La Bombonera Stadium in Buenos Aires.

Tevez said that he had always dreamed of seeing Messi and Ronaldo next to each other, explaining that he had contacted them and asked for their participation in the match, confirming that both had already agreed.

He added: “I have always dreamed of seeing Cristiano and Leo playing in one team. They are the greatest players of all time.”

The match carries a special character for Tevez, who previously played alongside Messi with the Argentina national team, and alongside Ronaldo during their time with Manchester United.

If the duo participates, fans will have a rare opportunity to see Messi and Ronaldo sharing the field in the shirt of one team, even in an exhibition match.
