The weather in Lebanon is heading towards a gradual rise in temperatures starting tomorrow, Wednesday, with the region being affected by relatively hot air masses originating from the Arabian Peninsula, with their effect intensifying on Thursday and Friday, especially in the mountainous and interior regions.
According to the Department of Meteorology at the Meteorological Authority, moderate summer weather is currently prevailing in Lebanon, with temperatures below seasonal rates and some local fluctuations, before hot masses gradually begin to take effect starting Wednesday, leading to temperatures rising above seasonal rates and continuing until the end of the week.
Wednesday’s weather will be partly cloudy with fog in the highlands and a slight rise in temperatures over the mountains and inland, while remaining stable on the coast. Scattered drizzle is also expected to fall on the northern highlands before noon, with the weather turning slightly cloudy in the afternoon.
As for Thursday, temperatures will rise significantly above the mountains and inland, exceeding their seasonal averages, while remaining relatively stable on the coast, with high humidity that increases the feeling of heat.
The rise will continue on Friday, especially in the mountainous and inland areas, while humidity remains high on the coast, making the heat felt greater.
Temperatures range between 24 and 32 degrees on the coast, between 15 and 27 degrees in the mountains, and between 18 and 35 degrees inland.
