The Central Bank of Morocco announced that the Moroccan dirham exchange rate increased by 0.6% against both the US dollar and the euro during the period from 11 to 17 September 2025, while the indicators of the Casablanca Stock Exchange fell.
The US dollar exchange rate recorded 9.02 dirhams, compared to 10.61 dirhams for the euro, according to the latest prices issued by the bank. Bank Al -Maghrib clarified in its weekly publication that no tender operations were carried out in the exchange market during this period, noting that the official reserve assets amounted to 413.8 billion dirhams on September 12, recording a slight decrease of 0.2% compared to the previous week, and an annual increase of a rate 13%, according to the Moroccan Hespress website. As for Bank Al -Maghrib’s interventions in the monetary market, the average daily pumping reached 136.8 billion dirhams, including long -term re -purchases of 40.9 billion dirhams, and guaranteed loans worth 36.1 billion dirhams. With regard to the market between banks, the average daily trading volume increased to 5.6 billion dirhams, while the rate of 2.25%.
