Tripoli’s mayors refused to arrest the selection of the port .. Al -Rafii pledges to follow up on the case

Acting Governor of Lebanon, Iman Al -Rafii, received a delegation of the mayors of Tripoli in the city’s companies, where they discussed the issue of arresting the selection of the port Hoda Al -Kurdi by one of the security services “without taking the prior permission from the governor or the Ministry of Interior,” considering that this is contrary to the legal principles.
During the meeting, Al -Mukhtar Abdul Qadir Al -Qahar stressed the name of the delegation that the Kurds did not commit any penalty, but rather helped citizens to complete requests before the Public Prosecution “without any compensation”, noting that the Mukhtar is elected and enjoys legal immunity “just like a lawyer who is called only through his union.” For its part, the governor Al -Rafii confirmed that she will follow the file with the Ministry of Interior and the judicial authorities, stressing the necessity Respecting the legal principles in dealing with the mayors and other local elected, while emphasizing at the same time the application of the law to everyone “in accordance with the constitutional rules and the established principles.”
