A hot weather controls Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, with temperatures higher than its seasonal rates, to return to the gradual decrease from next Saturday, with a high humidity. The weather is expected to turn from next Wednesday to a volatile, with the possibility of separate rain.
In this context, the head of the Department of Estimates at the Meteorological Authority, Mohamed King, confirmed in an interview with “Liban Dibite”, that “Lebanon is witnessing today a summer ritual with distinction, with temperatures increasing by about 4 degrees, especially in the southern and Baqaa regions,” noting that “the temperatures in Beirut will rise two degrees to reach the limits of 31 degrees, and are higher than their seasonal rates.”
According to King, the temperature rate for the month of October ranges in Beirut between 21 and 29 degrees, and in Tripoli Between 20 and 28 degrees, and in Zahle between 13 and 27 degrees.
He added that “the temperature will only be today, Friday, with the gradual decline starting from tomorrow, Saturday, so that the temperature will return to its normal rates on Tuesday, and then the weather fluctuations, which are expected to reach its peak on Thursday and Friday as a result of a low -air stationing southern Türkiye.”
On the expected amounts of rain, King indicated that it “will be limited, up to 5 mm, which makes the scene autumn with distinction,” stressing that “this is according to the current maps, with the possibility of the scenario to change later.”
He explained that “this matter is normal at this time, as we moved from the summer to the fall, and from the fall to the winter, yet the temperatures remain warm during the day, while tending to cold at night.”
King concluded by saying: “Today’s weather is clear with a decrease in the percentage of humidity and a tangible rise in temperatures, which exceed its seasonal rates, especially on the coast by about 5 degrees, as the winds are active, especially in the south of the country.”
