The United States uses veto against a draft Security Council resolution on Gaza

The United States of America used the “veto” veto to reject a Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, the introduction of aid, and the release of the hostages.

For her part, the representative of the United States in the Security Council announced that “Hama should surrender immediately and release the hostages.” She added: “The draft resolution on Gaza is equal to Israel and Hamas and this is not possible.”
