The UAE condemns the Israeli army’s targeting of UNIFIL and confirms its support for Lebanon and its sovereignty

The UAE strongly condemned the Israeli army firing shells on international peacekeepers in Lebanon “UNIFIL”.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the UAE’s strong condemnation of the attack on UNIFIL, stressing that “the targeting of UNIFIL is a violation of the principles of international law and the provisions of Security Council Resolution 1701”.
The Ministry stressed “the UAE standing and its firm support for Lebanon, its sovereignty and the unity of its lands, and the important role played by the United Nations peacekeeping force in Lebanon.”
