The Wall Street Journal reported, quoting well -informed sources that the administration of US President Donald Trump is seriously studying to restore the Ministry of Defense to its historical name, which was known for decades.

According to the newspaper, the Trump administration “started during the first weeks of its second presidential term to prepare legislative proposals that allow the change of the Ministry of Defense to be changed to the Ministry of War,” noting that “this procedure requires the approval of Congress, which prompted the White House to search for alternative ways to pass the step.”
