The Ministers of Education and Health .. announce the results of the global health survey of school students



The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Rima Karami, the Minister of Public Health Dr. Rakan Nasser Al -Din, and the representative of the World Health Organization in Lebanon, Dr. Abdel Nasser Abu Bakr, launched the results of the “global health survey based on school students”, in a massive celebration held in the Ministry of Education in the presence of senior educational and health officials.
The celebration started with the national anthem, then a speech by the media advisor Albert Chamoun, who confirmed that the survey was a basic base for drawing treatment plans. The Director General of Education, Fadi Yarq, describing the results at a “articulated” station that highlights the health and psychological aspects associated with the educational process, stressing that the report is not satisfied with describing reality but rather provides a scientific base for drawing effective policies. The detailed presentation of the results included sensitive axes: nutrition, physical activity, smoking, drug use, bullying, violence, mental health, and symptoms. For risks. The representative of the World Health Organization, Abu Bakr, saw that the numbers are not just data, but real stories for students who face challenges and pressures, calling for the transformation of these results into practical policies and programs that make schools a space for safety and growth. Health Minister Nasser Al -Din stressed that dealing with the results of the survey “urgent national priority”, announcing the launch of a national campaign to raise awareness about the health of adolescents. Minister Karami stressed that “the well -being and health of the learner” must be at the heart of the educational process, announcing the Ministry’s intention to integrate mental and physical health in curricula and expand psychological support programs in schools. The celebration was concluded with a discussion episode in which experts from the Ministries of Education and Health and the World Health Organization participated, where it was agreed that the survey is not the end, but rather a starting point for a comprehensive national path that puts the health of adolescents in the heart of public policies.
