The leaf of the 5 million pounds soon in the markets … and warn of this matter

In its last meeting, the Finance and Budget Committee amended a law that allows the Bank of Lebanon to issue paper categories of the national currency in line with the notes of the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, especially regarding the 5 million Lebanese pounds.

A number of economic experts affirm through “Lebanon 24” that “printing new banknotes, especially from the large groups, despite its importance, contains many caveats because this matter means that trading will be in large quantities in the Lebanese market, which will lead to inflation.”
Experts propose to be satisfied with issuing the category of 500 thousand and one million and not 5 million with the aim of moving the national currency and controlling it so that we do not reach a stage of enlargement and wearing the reality of liquidity in the lira.
