The Gulf Cooperation Council condemns the Awwan on Qatar and confirms the strengthening of joint defense

The Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council issued a strongly worded statement condemning the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar, stressing that this blatant violation represents a dangerous and rejected escalation. The statement stressed that this aggressive action constitutes a direct threat to joint Gulf security, peace and regional stability.
The Council pointed out its willingness to harness all the capabilities to support the State of Qatar and protect its security, stability and sovereignty against any threats, stressing that the Israeli attack obstructs the efforts of the Qatari mediation for the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of the hostages and alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people. The leaders also announced that the Defense Council will hold a meeting in Doha preceded by a meeting of the Supreme Military Committee, directing the unified military command to take the necessary executive measures To activate the mechanisms of joint defense and the capabilities of the Gulf deterrence. The Council warned that Israel’s assistance in its criminal practices may lead to serious repercussions that threaten security and regional and international peace, calling on the Security Council, the international community and active countries to assume their responsibilities and take firm and deterrent measures to stop these violations.
