Prime Minister Nawaf Salam commented on what happened, saying: “The armed reviews that Beirut witnessed are unacceptable in any way and under any justification. I have contacted the Ministry of Interior and Justice and asked them to take all necessary measures in order to implement the laws in force the procedure and to arrest the perpetrators and refer them to the investigation.”

The Lebanese Army Intelligence Directorate began calling a number of individuals who appeared in the video spread yesterday on social media, which documented an armed scene during the revival of Ashura’s ceremony in the Zaqq al -Balat area in the center of the capital, Beirut.

According to the information, those concerned to appear today in front of a security center were called in a move that is a clear message from the Lebanese army that confirms its absolute rejection of such aspects that are inconsistent with the principle of restricting weapons in the hands of the state and threatening security and social stability.
