
Beirut is currently witnessing increasing pressure on the Syrians working in various sectors, as the concerned authorities are closing the shops with red wax immediately after the presence of Syrian workers in them.
These measures sparked widespread surprise, especially since some of them are the table of old institutions that have been working for many years and mainly dependent on the Syrian labor.
Follow -up sources considered that what is happening is a remarkable shift in dealing with the labor file, and raises question marks about its timing and dimensions.
On the other hand, the relevant government agencies consider that the steps taken come within the framework of organizing the labor market, but they undoubtedly leave significant social and economic repercussions.
In a related context, it was learned that Syrians in Lebanon recently returned to their country without “forever”, after securing their material and living stability there. It was also found that there are people who left their country during the fall of the Bashar al -Assad regime in December 2024, and they are now looking for job opportunities in Lebanon through citizens here and through social media publicly.
