State Security pursues the exploiters of the disabled cards in customs!

According to the signal of the Financial Attorney General Maher Shaito, the General Directorate of Customs received a telegram issued by the General Directorate of State Security in it, asking to provide it with a table on the cars that have been entered to Lebanon since 2022 on the names of disabled people and it is exempt from customs duties, and the General Directorate of State Security requested it to provide it with details such as the type of car, the owner’s name, address, phone number, structure number, and any other information about it, in a period of time 48 hours.
This telegram comes after it was found that many people are taking advantage of the cards issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs to import luxury cars and enter them without paying customs duties. They are mostly not those with special needs that call for their conditions to cars for the disabled, knowing that the luxury cars referred to are ordinary cars and the last models.
