Sharia received Barak and the Commander of the US Central Command

Syrian President Ahmed Al -Shara and his wife Latifa Al -Droubi, at the People’s Palace in Damascus, received the commander of the US Central Command, the Admiral Charles Bradley Cooper, and his wife Suzanne Cooper, along with the Special Envoy of the United States of America to Syria, Tom Barak, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of a number of ministers and senior officials.

The meeting discussed the prospects for cooperation in the political and military fields, to serve common interests and establish the elements of security and stability in Syria and the region.
The meeting reflected the positive atmosphere and the common concern to enhance the strategic partnership, and to expand communication channels between Damascus and Washington at various levels.
