Salam: There is no salvation for Lebanon except with reconciliation

On the occasion of the anniversary of President Bashir Gemayel, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam wrote on the “X” platform: “More than four decades passed the assassination of President Bashir Gemayel … and its slogan remains Lebanon 10452 square kilometers.”

He added: “Political assassinations are the opposite of freedom and democracy that we aspire to. There is no salvation for Lebanon from its wounded past except with openness and reconciliation that ends the time of denial and political violence.”
