Regarding the decision to open the fishing season, this is what the Ministry of Environment clarified

The media office at the Ministry of Environment issued the following clarification:
“Some Lebanese newspapers and a number of websites have circulated a news that the Minister of Environment Tamara Al -Zain issued a decision to open the fishing season … until its date, the Minister of Zain did not issue any decision in this regard, and what was circulated is incorrect, that any decision related to the fishing season remains dependent on the issuance of the decree of the formation of the“ Supreme Council for Wild Fishing ”, which is entrusted with the law proposal to open the fishing season or not. It is issued exclusively, and in its official formula, and not through other sources. Therefore, the Ministry of Environment invites all newspapers, websites and other media to be accurate, to refrain from publishing any news that is not officially issued.
