On Hizb. Hezbollah .. an Israeli warning in a report

The Israeli “Alma” Institute for Security Studies published a report in which it warned against delaying the disarmament of “Hezbollah” in Lebanon, considering that this matter is in the interest of the “party”.

The report translated by “Lebanon 24” says that there is a problem with the approach that suggests that “Hizbullah” be disarmed slowly and after the completion of the state building process, indicating that this matter is in favor of “Hizbah”, especially if the aforementioned matters require a long time.
The report notes that “Hizbullah hopes that it will fade over time, the determination of Israel, the Lebanese government and the United States to address it.” He added: Therefore, from his point of view, its strategy is always to prolong the process of disarmament as much as possible to enable his military rehabilitation.
He continued: “The Lebanese government’s decision to disarm Hizbullah, which was taken with American pressure, pushed Hezbollah to the threat not to abandon its weapon even if this leads to a civil war. Hizbullah’s position is the necessity of Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanon and stopping its attacks first, then he is ready to discuss the issue of weapons (while emphasizing that Hezbollah does not commit to the withdrawal of Israel Only). This coincides with the statements of Hezbollah that the weapon is the identity of Hizbullah and its honor, and that death is better than the delivery of the weapon, and that it is the protector of Lebanon in the face of Israel, and that it will never abandon the place.
He continued: “Recently, a new argument entered the Arsenal of the organization’s narratives, according to which Hezbollah, since the fall of Bashar al -Assad’s regime in Syria, has also defended Lebanon from the attacks of the Sunni jihadists coming from Syria. This narration is based on the legacy of the battles that Hizbullah fought with the Lebanese army against a call. Military, Hezbollah restores its arsenal from the pretexts and narratives that justify its adherence to its weapons and continue its armament.
He added: “In light of the continuous endeavors of Hezbollah to rehabilitate it, Israel operates daily to thwart this threat. Despite the official condemnation, the Israeli activity and the fear of escalation constitutes the main pressure tool for the Lebanese government on Hizbullah, and therefore, the need to move now appears in light of Hizbullah’s weakness, and the Israeli government’s insistence on keeping it weak.”
He continued: “Hezbollah, of course, has no interest in building the state or strengthening the Lebanese government. His strength stems from the divisions of Lebanon and its weakness, which allows it to preserve a state within the state, and to preserve its loyalty to its Shiite base and isolate it from the state. For decades, he used his political influence to protect its own interests at the expense of Lebanon’s welfare. H. Hezbollah only serves its own interests and the interests of Iran in the Middle East. The dismantling of Hizbullah not only means removing its weapon, but also the dismantling of its political and economic strength. Also, the integration of members of Hizbullah into the political process would harm the stability of the government and the final goal of dismantling Hizbullah in full in Lebanon.
The report considered that “the strengthening of the Lebanese government and the Lebanese army are two extremely important steps, but they are a long -term process, and therefore, it must be implemented in parallel, and not before taking measures against Hizbullah.” In all parts of the country, it is the first and most important step in strengthening and rebuilding the state.
He continued: “Besides international pressure, great efforts are made to strengthen the Lebanese state and the Lebanese army. For example, in talks held in Lebanon on August 18, and Tom Barak and Morgan Ortigos presented economic incentives and international investments, and even indirect cooperation with Israel, with the aim of implementing a political economic strategy not only security.”
He continued: “As a result of the war, the circumstances that allow the Lebanese government to move against Hizbullah, as the capabilities of the military, economic and political organization were affected, while Iran and the Shiite axis in the region weakened, as well as the fall of the Assad regime and the loss of the corridor from Syria, as well as the American and international support of the Lebanese government.”
He added: “It is clear that the disarmament of Hizbullah is a complex process, and the chances of its success are less than the chances of its failure. Hizbullah will not abandon its weapon voluntarily, and it is likely that the Lebanese army will have to confront Hizbullah if he tries to dismantle it seriously. The postponement of this step will allow Hezbollah to recover and enhance its strength, which will make the confrontation with it in the future more dangerous.”
Likewise, the report said that “until the completion of the process of disarming Hizbullah, Israel cannot withdraw from Lebanon or stop its attacks.” He added: “The Israeli withdrawal will represent a moral victory for Hezbollah, and will enable it and its base to strengthen its strength and undermine the authority of the state. The five strategy that has been controlled by Lebanese soil.
He continued: “The choice of Lebanon is not between the war with Hizbullah or with Israel, but rather between Lebanon is independent and a master within its lands or Lebanon is a divine subject to Iran and Hezbollah’s dictates. In contrast, the possibility of the Lebanese army succeeds in dismantling the weapons of Hizbullah independently, completely (or even partially), very little. Therefore, Israel must be careful and avoid early withdrawal in Lebanon, whether Its offensive activity against the rehabilitation of Hizbullah. The inappropriate timing will allow Hezbollah to restore its military and political capabilities, and it will again become a major threat to Israel.
