New projects are under discussion between the Ministry of Works and the World Bank to support national development

The Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamani, received a delegation from the World Bank, which included the director of the World Bank Group’s office in Lebanon Enrique Blanco Armin (Qatari director), Frederico Pedoso (transport specialist), Mai Ibrahim (operational analyst), and Mira Murad (chief transport specialist).
The meeting dealt with strengthening joint cooperation between the Ministry and the World Bank, in addition to presenting the vital infrastructure projects implemented by the Ministry in cooperation with the bank. The existing projects and achievements achieved were also evaluated, which constitutes a base to expand the partnership towards new projects that serve national development and meet the aspirations of citizens. The two sides agreed to continue coordination to ensure the implementation of future projects at the highest levels of efficiency and quality, and to enhance the impact of cooperation between the ministry and the World Bank in the infrastructure sector.
