The Minister of Agriculture Nizar Hani launched a series of agricultural projects today from the town of Al -Mukhtara and carried important addresses to develop the agricultural sector in general, the most important of which is the increase in agricultural centers, including the centers of the green project, in order to facilitate the submission of citizens ’requests, agricultural schools and laboratories.

He also launched an appeal to farmers to register in the farmers’ record, so that they can benefit from social and health security and from the future agricultural projects, noting that “the number of registered people so far has become 54 thousand farmers at the level of Lebanon, but the mountain region is the least numbers so far. And he saw that the biggest challenges facing the sector are the scarcity of water, so that there will be guidelines about the quality of crops that resist the dry climate and methods Irrigation. ” The words of Minister Hani came in a general meeting held in the general town of Al -Mukhtara, at the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agriculture Authority in Mount Lebanon and the Supreme Shouf Municipalities Union, as part of meetings with the rest of the municipal federations in the Chouf, with the participation of mayors, municipalities, events, religious men, and a large number of farmers in the region.
