Mark: We follow the details of the return plan for the displaced and we need an integrated national vision to finish the file

The Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Committee held a session chaired by Representative Fadi Alama, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Mitri, Minister of Social Affairs Hanin El -Sayed, Minister of Justice Adel Nassar, and a number of member deputies.
Alama said after the meeting that “the committee discussed the issue of the return of the displaced Syrians to their country, and the session was appropriate to listen to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Social Affairs and the Minister of Justice, on the details of the government plan established, the mechanism of its follow -up on the ground, and the challenges facing its implementation.” He added: “ Rejection of resettlement, while stressing at the same time the importance of direct cooperation with the Syrian government to secure a safe and fast return for the displaced, and the need to coordinate with the active international authorities in this file. Detailed on the measures taken on the legal and illegal borders, with the aim of limiting the opposite return. Especially since the Syrian labor has become a large part of some sectors, at a time when the Lebanese suffer from high unemployment. He announced that “an invitation will be invited to the Minister of Labor to hold a special session to submit the ministry’s plan to organize Syrian workers, and to know the numbers that take place for work, and those that left.” The discussion also touched on the issue of education, especially with regard to the fate of the Syrian students with the proximity of the start of the school year, and an invitation to the Minister of Education was approved to present the ministry’s plan to accommodate students and clarify the procedures followed. It is still stuck, especially about the time period for the decline in the number of displaced people, and how to limit their presence with workers only, which requires the completion of the follow -up with the relevant ministers to put an integrated national vision that ends this thorny file.
