Macron requires that Israeli violations be stopped

The day after the renewal of the international forces operating in southern Lebanon “UNIFIL”, French President Emmanuel Macron revealed, through a leaflet distributed by the French embassy in Beirut, that as soon as the arms inventory plan was approved, his personal envoy Jean -Yves Laudrian will provide to Beirut to work with the authorities on our priorities hand in hand.

President Macron wrote on the “X” platform, “I spoke with the President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, as well as with the Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam. The United Nations temporary mandate in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has been renewed, in which France is effectively participating, unanimously. It is an important message, and we welcomed it.”
He added: “I found the courageous decisions taken by the Lebanese executive authority in order to restore the restriction of the use of force in the hands of the state. I encourage the Lebanese government to adopt the plan that will be presented to the Council of Ministers for this purpose. My personal envoys, Jean-Yves Le Drian, will go to Lebanon to work in hand with the authorities on our priorities as soon as this plan is adopted.”
He stressed that “the full withdrawal of the Israeli forces from southern Lebanon and an end to all violations of Lebanese sovereignty are two basic conditions for implementing this plan. France has always confirmed its willingness to play a role in handing the points that are still under the Israeli Obligation,” stressing that the security of Lebanon and its sovereignty should be in the hands of the Lebanese authorities alone.
He continued: “I renewed the President and the Prime Minister to confirm our intention to organize two conferences by the end of this year: the first to support the Lebanese armed forces, the basic pillar of the country’s sovereignty, and the second for the rise of Lebanon and its reconstruction.” He concluded, stressing: “Recovered security, enhanced sovereignty, and sustainable prosperity: this is the future that we want for Lebanon, in the form of the power of the firm ritual.”
A French diplomatic source said in a closed press interview, that French diplomacy has made great efforts and even the last hours to persuade the United States of America to agree to the formulated formula. In this context, official sources confirmed that the task of the international force was not primarily direct intervention in the conflict, but rather to help the Lebanese army and enhance the state’s presence in the south. This is what she has done for decades and will continue until the end of its mission at the end of the year 2026, and upon completion of the full withdrawal of the last soldier and to dismantle the last rule that will be at the end of 2027, with the rules to be dismantled.
