Attention is directed to the cabinet session scheduled for next Friday, which is devoted to offering the army’s plan to exclusively weapons in the hands of the state, amid a fan of communications and consultations led by the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun with the parties concerned, in an attempt to find a way out of the session that distances the division and avoids more political cracks. The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, had discussed with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam yesterday the subject of the session, and he reviewed the results of his visit to Cairo, the conversations he held and the existing endeavors to find a way out of the crisis.
Ministerial sources said, “The approach to the participation of the Shiite duo’s ministers, provided that their survival or departure is related to the path of matters, either the army’s plan and agreement will be satisfied with the follow -up later to take the decision on it, or it will be presented to the vote if matters are directed towards this direction, so that the Shiite ministers are likely to make a decision to leave the session, similar to what happened in the previous two sessions.
According to the information, the army leadership ended more than two weeks before the preparation of the plan assigned by the Council of Ministers on the fifth of August to place it to restrict weapons in the hands of the state before the end of the current year. The plan notes stages and is not also to finish the implementation of each stage, knowing that the cabinet was explicitly a request from the military leadership to be the end of this year as an appointment to finish collecting weapons.
